Pretty soon another summer will be over, the tourists will leave the beaches and the kids will head back to school. As sad as it is that the beach season will come to an end, it gives heed to the greatest of all seasons…Football!
Everyone has predictions of how their team will do, whether its a Pro team, College, High school, Middle school, Pop Warner or a Fantasy team (Wayne’s Wicked Cool League). Good luck in all your hopes and dreams as mini camps are springing up all over and teams prepare for the gridiron.
I’m pulling for Minnesota to crush the Packers. Their rivalry began when they first played each other on October 22nd, 1961. The Green Bay Packers lead the all-time series with a record of 55-49-1, but the Vikings are catching up. The Redskins will destroy Dallas as America celebrates; because who doesn’t like to see the Cowboys loose? I always like Atlanta over the Saints, San Francisco over Oakland and anyone over the Giants. We all want to see Payton sucking for air in Mile High Stadium and Brady work his magic for another year. You may disagree with all this but that is what makes football season so great. Rivalries, smack talk and chicken wings, its all coming soon.
One thing every fan can agree on, however, is a universal love for the marching band. Here is a little clip to help set the mood for the upcoming season.
West Virginia Marching Band Armed Forces Salute…at the 2:34 mark there’s a pretty cool effect.
